README GETTING STARTED The HTML documentation on this CD is best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 using Microsoft Internet Explorer. EXPLORING THE GIS DATASET USING ARCREADER A GIS view of the data along with limited manipulation functionality is available through the use of ArcReader. This free software is delivered with ArcGIS or may be downloaded and installed as a stand alone application via the web. See the procedures outlined in the ArcReader Installation section below. ArcReader Installation This software requires Windows NT 4.0 with service pack 6a or Windows 2000 or Windows XP and uses 200 MB of disk space. If ArcReader is already installed, skip to step 3 below. 1. create a folder on your hard drive entitled "CD_96C". 2. copy the entire CD contents to the folder "CD_96C" 3. navigate to the ArcWeb.exe, double-click on ArcWeb.exe and follow the prompts. 4. navigate to C:\CD_96C\Display_Map and double-click on the file nts96C.pmf 5. to successfully view hyperlinks in ArcReader, enable the Hyperlink tool.
